You can easily propegate from a large plant by just chopping it off at the base. It will put all its energy into producing pups (and often makes quite a few). You can also chop it off, dig it up and just hack the corm into pieces and toss them somewhere shady. If they get watered and don't dry out too badly, they'll usually grow into new plants. You don't really have to do anything special with them....toss them in a compost pile and forget about them LOL.
