Default Re: Ae Ae propagation project

Congratulations Greenie/NANAMAN, I see Your AEAE plantation is coming along nicely.

My AEAE had no signs of pink until I moved it outside and added humic acid. The lower PH may have caused this. Or it could have been lower night temperatures. I took a picture of my AEAE and Nam wah together for easy reference. To me, The Nam Wah is distinctly different. However, I have done research about Var. "Florida" and AEAE in the past. I never came to a definitive conclusion, but from what I gathered from older threads is that AEAE is different from Var. "Florida" only in that Musa Var. "Florida" bears seeded fruit. I noticed that pictures of plants sold as Var. "Florida" always have the pink variegation. I came up with a theory that the AEAE's with pink might actually be Var. "Florida" that have been mistakenly sold under the wrong name. I hope that I am wrong.
