Default Banana plant cold survivor... unknown

Ok guys got an interesting story for ya.

Out of all my outside banana plants that I did not put in the green house I have one that survived like nothing happened. It kept 2 perfectly green leaves all winter and a pup that survived all winter. It was in a pot next to some that were buried in the ground. I do not know what variety it is as I dug it up from someone that had no clue what it is, all they knew is they would not die no matter how hard they tried to get rid of them until I dug up a huge root ball that they did not know was in the ground. They would just keep digging up the pups and throw them in the woods and some of them were growing not even being in soil....

I did nothing to protect this banana and all the other banana plants even the ones I covered lost all leaves and then some...
