Default Re: Growing 'Musa Basjoo' in London, Ontario, Canada...

I'll be posting pictures of mine shortly. Dwarf Cavendish, my first nana plants ever. They seemed to winter nicely indoors near my windows, with a quarter turn every day.

One of my cats took to nibbling on the leaves; the others don't like the taste. He really only does it when I'm sitting on the couch- sort of like a toddler trying to see what he can get away with. The leaves aren't all torn up, they're fine. He loves watching out the window under a leaf- like a "jungle-kitty."

I wonder what he's going to do when they go outside? I'm waiting until the nighttime temps are in their 60's.

The only problem I've experienced is those darned gnats. Any suggestions on how to get rid of or control them without poisoning the plants or cats?

I did find paw paw trees. They look like twigs now, but in two years I'll have paw paws.

Your plant looks beautiful. I'll bet if you talked about the reward money with neighbors, the thieves got the message. They should never come out of hiding and look over their shoulders.
