Way to go jumping in head first like that. Best way to learn for sure. I think to keep the bananas growing best keep them as warm and brightly lit as possible. Their water consumption depends largely on the temperature. I water during winter after the top 2" of soil gets dry and then water thoroughly. Let the pineapple dry out a bit more before watering. You'll learn best from getting the "feel" of it from experience.
