Learn something every day! Apparently Canon can use Nikon glass but not vice versa. Also the Nikon D40 and D60 can only use AFS glass so if you want to use some of the older manual focus glass you'll want to avoid those bodies and go for a D50, D70, D80 or D90. But Canon messed things up in 85.
