Pomegranate trees require pollination to produce fruits. Make sure it is in a spot where there is a lot of insect activity.

I once grew a dwarf pomegranate inside last Winter, and I had to hand-pollinate the blooms with a soft paintbrush. Here is it (crappy webcam shots), but in the end I harvested several ripe fruits...
