Jarred - that is really interesting as they look quite different from my local "apples" - be interesting when mine get up to size. My fruit are much shorter and wider - I can't wait intil they grow!!!

Hi Carol,
Yes it will be fun to compare them. These fruits are pretty small though!

The one I mailed you was cut from this very plant, so it will be easy for you to compare them with the local Dominican Apples.

Warm wishes. Oh wait, you don't need that down there!

Nice bunch Jarred! They don't look like my Manzano's though, I'm wondering which strain of Manzano they are? Either way, I'm sure they'll be very tasty!

I love that swing when I'm holding the raceme in one hand and behead the plant with the machete in my other, and having the entire crown of the plant fall down leaving me holding the bunch upside down with all the leaves still attached at the other end. It gives me a very satisfying feeling.

Hey Jarred - Congratulations on the fantastic bunch! It looks like your banana support is made of PVC pipe. Just out of curiosity, what diameter pipe did you use? - Art
