Those seeds should sink normally, but even still, floating does not necessarily mean they are not viable.

Musa violascens also has a huge endosperm chamber relative to the whole seed so there is lots of room for air unlike some other species.

Sometimes they float because they are rotted inside and have a large cavity of air, but sometimes they float just because there are small pockets of air caught inside and are very dry. Although this...
