Re: Planting by a pool
I have 4 around my pool. It's a salt water pool (for my chlorine generator) and what ever is splashed out from the kids hasn't been a problem. :woohoonaner:

Re: Over wintering over?
Thanks. I'm in 6a. I'll take your advice and wait a couple more weeks. With luck I'll have a bunch of yellowish leaves waiting for sunlight. :nanadrink:

Re: Over wintering over?
It was an especially brutal winter snow-wise. Fourth snowiest all time, 178". :waving: It's not a typo, almost 15 feet of the white stuff. Hopefully the snow acted as an insulator. :ha:

Over wintering over?
Looks like winter is over. :08: This is my third year with musa bajoo, each spring I uncover a pile of mush and in a few weeks some sprouts.

I hear you. Saturday night is supposed to be -15 without windchill. Might be a disappointing spring.

I was hoping for the same thing. If it worked I'll share how I overwintered them.

Rough Winter
Only December 17th and up here in central NY (Syracuse) we've already set the record for snow in December...over 70" and two weeks until the end of the month. :waving:
Hope the musa bajoo make it....

I'm hoping if these work I can expand my horizons with another variety. Any idea off hand what other varieties are as hardy as the musa bajoo?

Thanks, I appreciate it. It will be interesting to see if I have any luck with musa bajoo in my snowy zone 6 compared to your zone 6.
