Re: Free* Queen Palm Seeds

I'd love them but I'm in zone 6. Maybe next time I could try a seed or two and keep them inside. :03:

Re: Over wintering over?

Thanks. I'm in 6a. I'll take your advice and wait a couple more weeks. With luck I'll have a bunch of yellowish leaves waiting for sunlight. :nanadrink:

Re: Over wintering over?

It was an especially brutal winter snow-wise. Fourth snowiest all time, 178". :waving: It's not a typo, almost 15 feet of the white stuff. Hopefully the snow acted as an insulator. :ha:

I googled this site. Musa, Ornamental Plants and tropical flowers for sale (http://www.plant-group.com/ornamentalplants/musa.html) and when you click order it asks for country, so maybe, just...

Re: I hope they are snug

I hear you. Saturday night is supposed to be -15 without windchill. Might be a disappointing spring.

Rough Winter

Only December 17th and up here in central NY (Syracuse) we've already set the record for snow in December...over 70" and two weeks until the end of the month. :waving:

Hope the musa bajoo make it....

Re: New Guy

6 feet? My plants started out 2 feet and barely made it to 3 over the summer. I thought they'd be better off if I let them stay in the ground, so I've already chopped them down to about 1 1/2' and...

Thanks, I appreciate it. It will be interesting to see if I have any luck with musa bajoo in my snowy zone 6 compared to your zone 6.
