Since then (see above) it started to grow own roots now and has further pushed forward. I'll get you an update, as soon as the roots are visible also on a photography.

My Rajapuri, which was killed to the the corm in December, is coming back. I had a small pup in autmn, which seemed to be also killed, but is now coming back!
It's still small and below the mulch....

Here's an update two weeks later:
I put it in pot and it continued to grow. The heat mat was just on at night. During the days it was warm enough. Very easy to grow that stuff - I hope it'll continue...

That was the first I did. I cut the brown tissue down to the corm and I'm checking on a regular basis for any signs of rot, but none so far.

Bananas can act quite strange after winter, so I wouldn't worry too much.
