Re: Growing Windmill palms in zone 6?

Do they have like a site or somewhere they sell their Palms? I had two this past winter, but didn't protect them well at all. Had some family issues at the beginning of winter and didn't get them...

Re: Bananas in ground all year round?

I've thought about doing the same thing here in Columbus, Ohio for next winter. Some of my ideas to combat the colder ground temperatures was the heating cables. I was thinking around the perimeter...

Re: Is this a good price / good vendor?

I used this place when I first started collecting banana's last summer! They are a good source, the plants were healthy and packed well. Nothing too special, but you won't be disappointed either. You...

Re: How to Save a Prematurely Separated Pup

So when you put in a shot glass of water, I assume you kept it indoors away from the sun right? This will help me, because I like you said, don't do it often, and not very adept at it, lol. I'm about...

Re: Protecting Windmill Palms

I actually got it on EBAY. There are quite a few dealers that sell some pretty cheap. I got those for $8 a piece if I remember right in April of this year. Potted up in 3 gallon container.

Re: Need Geek Help

Try getting into Safe Mode and deleting it. I did a search on one of the computer forums I found, and it seems to be a common issue that has happened in all versions of Windows. Just restart, and as...

Re: Protecting Windmill Palms

We actually don't get many nights where we get a lot of snow. Maybe 3 or 4 storms a year that dump 3-5 inches. It won't be a problem to brush it off each day. I like the idea of a trashcan too...

Re: California Real Estate

I'm a Banker too, and one of the things I deal with is Property Damage claims that we hold the Mortgage on. We too will look at the Finance Agreement to see what was included in the Mortgage. We aim...

Re: Has Anyone Tried This? If so, What were your Results?

I just recently cut a 24 inch pup off of my Dwarf Ladyfinger. It was the only pup the plant ever had, and I got the plant in August of last year. This was 1.5 weeks ago. It has now sent up 5 pups...

Sounds like the perfect question for Richard or Sandy to answer. So Richard and Sandy, what say you? :lurk:

Re: Water Soluble Banana Fuel Dosages

When your stating 1/4 to 3/4 cup a month examples, how much would go in each gallon of water in order to not make it too concentrated? I usually fertilize once a week in good weather.

Re: Winrter protection of Windmill Palms in zone 6/7

Re: planting date for the north

I live in Columbus, Ohio. Our average last frost is around May 2nd-May 5th. Considering plants don't do well under 40 degrees, I would be hesitant to do so anytime before May 12th-May 15th.
