Too much water! Once a week at the most in very well drained soil. Do not water again until the soil looks dry.

Down here in the Keys, the prime suspects would be raccoons, opossums and tree rats. If you have skunks up there, they also love pet food.

I saw a hognose snake when I still lived up in South Jersey. Was with a group of friends on a hiking trail - the snake was sunning it self on the side of the trail. I knew what kind of snake it was...

I volunteer at The Blue Hole on Big Pine Key. Saw a black racer (snake) catch and eat a Cuban tree frog while I was at the observation platform.

Be sure to wear gloves - the Cuban frogs will pee...

While I do not have a Pisang Ceylon myself, I have seen photos of the banana bunch. This plant can produce monster bunches when it is really happy! I'll guess an even 100. :nanadrink:
