The newest leaf has unfolded as of this morning and appears intact with another shoot emerging about 4 inches currently.
Do namwahs not normally pup this heavily? What may cause this?

I see what you mean now. Perhaps an application of gypsum or lime would help? I have both that pelletized and it would be easy to apply.

A little over 6 ft of pseudostem, and 7 pups surrounding it.
I am not removing the pups and instead letting them mature around it....
