I've had similar tunnels in my truly tiny corm. The culprit was millipedes. After carving is it better to stick it in the dirt or put in to a bucket of water?

I have similar issues, not only was I over watering, some millipedes burrowed inside the corm of my main banana. My solution was to separate the mother and clone, to double my chances of banana...
