No bugs present. The interior rot looking down on it varied from about the size of a quarter to a dime. On the upside it appears to be a one off and the 30 or so others are doing just fine.

No I doubt it's the too much water angle. This grove is in a bit of a raised bed and other's that sit under water for days have never done this. I just wondered if the plants were susceptible to some...

Thanks for your input, I have decided to leave it even though it is leafless. I have long ago cursed the flower because I know it's the end for that Banana. I am now more about the size itself and...
