I tend to agree with Richard, who once said: "A green leaf is a solar panel."

Thus I would leave the leaves, where they are, until the wilt on their own.

If you decide to separate the pups keep a portion of the mother corm attached to each one if possible.. :^)

Congratulations. If you peel and freeze almost overripe bananas, you can throw them on a blender for a great shale. The frozen bananas thicken the shake and make it good. I am just planting my...

Wonderful news, and great pics. I too had success for the 1st time after many years,; mine was with my basjoo and an Ensete glauca. Makes all the work worthwhile, doesn't it!?

My Cav bloomed this year also. Just hope it stays warm enough for harvesting here in SC.

I also read somewhere to reduce nitrogen content when you fertilize and stick with postash...

Congrats!! I'm so excited for you. I don't have any advice that you could really do at the moment, but because of my personal beliefs I really think in the future you should lean less on fertilizers...
