There are in northern Thailand / Laos / Vietnam many tall M.itinerans varieties with purple fruits as it is higly polymorphic species. One of them is commercially named "Burmese Blue".

Looks good! The strongly winged petioles, Brownish red to Bronze coloring on psuedostem looks like my Musa itinerans itinerans. Mine survived 28F with no leaf damage at all this last winter.

At one point it was thought that 'Burmese Blue' was var. guangdongensis, but this is not the case. There are several purple-fruited itinerans forms.

You need to see them flower, and even then there are some undescribed varieties so it may not have a proper name yet.
