It is not Namwah. I have Dwarf Namwah. This cultivar is more red.

This is rare local ( but apparently very hardy ) cultivar from China. It is very rare in cultivation outside of China.

It is a ABB cultivar from China. That ''Ba'' in the name is important.
In China only one different word in the name, can mean totally different cultivar. :)

That is so sad to hear, it make my taste buds ache. Many of us live in areas that we only wish we had such a surplus of them. But at least they go back to the ground to feed the next generation....

This is my first crop of bananas..they started blooming about 11 days ago and as you can see, I already have several hands of bananas.

I'm not sure what kind they are. I bought them from a nursery...
