We do have a couple plantings of the Giant type Elephant ears - the bulbs were a gift of a friend in DC, and this is our second year planting them ... of course, we dig them up in the fall before it...

The green with creamy white irregular patches looks like C. elepaio. I love it; for me it's my favorite but also a slower grower.

Actually I've noticed that the Colocasias produce more plants than the Alocasias, some by standard offsets, others even do runners and make lots and lots of plants.

I think next yaer I will try some differnet ones. I have some fertile areas that don't get a lot of water. They are shaded and stay moist. Maybe that would be some good areas to plant.

Stingray is an Alocasia and they generally need less water than Colocasia.
Colocasias can handle more watering than Alocasias.
