So the "cuban sweet plantain" has now fruited. Any further guesses on what this plant specifically is would be appreciated - if it is even a plantain :ha: Fruiting height was about 12...

Dwarf banana ID
This plant came from a friend a couple years ago and is now finally fruiting! I've always assumed it was a dwarf cavendish of some sort. What do you think? Fruiting height of pseudostem is about 4...

Was taking some pics recently so I thought I'd share the update. This is the "cuban sweet plantain" No fruit yet - this plant had a bit of a rough start and I had to move it once but its slowly...

These don't usually make it to ripening at my house...they make the best tostones for sure! Never tried the microwave idea, just peanut oil x2 then giddyup.
