yes, i remove all pups, and dont worry about digging up to many roots, they will grow back in the spring, and this way they will flower for you also. Good luck, and use a hand dolley to save your...

you can grow them in Michigan, no problem at all. I dug up some rather large basjoo last fall, left them in the garage all winter and they are monsters this year.

bring the bigger ones inside, they have more roots of there own, keep them cool and dry or they will keep on growing all winter long with to much light. Good luck. Mike
