I am sorry to said it but that is your problem and mine. Two choices even dig a very large hole and mix sand with compost it may work but it takes time for the clay to loose up or grow it in a raise...

Check the drainage of the soil. Dig a hole fill it with water after 12 hours fill it again if you still have water after 3 hours you have a drainage problem. Dig the plants out and plant then on...
