Okay cuz we already have a Vent thread and this is really popular at another site! What made you really happy and made you smile today? =)
I did a ton of reading and found out how to sort my pictures at Bananas.org today and that made me smile! now i dont have to look for them as much. What made you smile today? |

Today my dog stared at me for about 5 minutes because she was listening to what I was saying. That made me smile.
I also found a while oleander for sale and I bought it :) |

I can put all my hot peppers in the garden today. =)
I traded my new banana plant for 12 new kinds of hot peppers. I still have one banana plant and thats okay cuz i like growing peppers more. |

Yup, that's my Henry! He's more a parrot than a budgie and he has a very impressive vocabulary. He makes me smile everyday. :)
Today in particular I smiled when I noticed for the 1st time some new peppers developing on a mystery pepper plant in my bedroom window. Although the fruits are tiny yet, I've been waiting awhile to see them, so I might have some idea of what they are. I'm tickled to finally be watching them grow. : ) |

Today I saw an inflorescence on my Sabal Minor. Its been in the ground for 3 years and this is the first time its going to bloom! I can't wait! It should be in full bloom by late June or so!

Today I found my Musa Carolina King made a pup I thought it was a gonner and than I saw my saba with new growth I also thought it was a gonner. Those bananas are sure strong !

After the big rain the other night I seen my rain lillys about to bloom this morning. I donot even know were they came from. I donot remember planting them. I noticed them last year they just come up in diffrent places. Sometimes the birds plant things around here.

 Henry in his birdbath trying to topple one of his toys into the water! He was rocking it back and forth trying to get it loose from the clamp, saying "don't you be a naughty bird"!!! It was like he was scolding him because he didn't want to take a bath! :ha: : ) |

Mom went back where she bought my second banana plant and found out what it was. its a Basjoo banana plant. I traded it for 12 different kinds of pepper seeds and thats cool cuz now im getting a Velutina banana plant that makes pink bananas wow! =D

It made me smile today when I gave my chickens some biscuits and the babies ran up there right in the middle of the whole bunch and grabbed a biscuit and ran really fast. lol

Last night out to dinner a Middle Eastern family with 2 teen sons and a young girl around 6 was eating next to us. The little girl was laughing all the time and had a wonderful smile. It turned out her name was Hannah and it was her birthday. I told her father as we were leaving that her laugh and smile were like sunshine. His smile of pride was huge!

I smiled today after I dug up two extremely difficult shrubs that had been established for three years. They both had very thick, woody bases, that were so tough to budge from the earth...but I succeeded. Even though I broke the handle on my shovel, I was finally able to up-root them. It was a tough job that had to be done and I'm feeling pretty satisfied about it.

I smiled today when I woke up and saw it was sunny and not raining like usual. Hope tomorrow is the same... Oh and I smiled yesterday when I was eating a chicken drumstick and my bird Henry landed on the end of it to take a bite! I had friends over for dinner and we all burst out laughing. :ha: : ) |

THE STORM  They were together in the House. Just the two of them. It was a cold, dark, stormy night. The storm had come quickly and each time the thunder boomed he watched her jump. She looked across the room and admired his strong appearance... and wished that he would take her in his arms, comfort her and protect her from the storm... Suddenly, with a pop, the power went out.... She screamed... He raced to the sofa where she was cowering. He didn't hesitate to pull her into his arms. He knew this was a forbidden union and expected her to pull back. He was surprised when she didn't resist but instead clung to him. The storm raged on... They knew it was wrong... Their families would never understand... So consumed were they in their FEAR that they heard no opening of doors... just the faint click of a camera......  . |
