A little north looks like a night with continous bad weather for all evening
All day there has been a eastward breeze.....pretty strong at times, however we do need the rain. Loose plants are blown over.....tornado watch in effect. Looks like we are in the "kill box" so to speak. Cannot wait till the sun goes down. Should I eat my Talenti gelato now or should I wait till the power goes out?? ![]() |

Ignore anything written by the farmer's almanac: Farmer's Almanac, Old Farmers' Almanac have terrible meteorological track record.
Go to NOAA instead: Climate Prediction Center - seasonal OutlookClimate Prediction Center - seasonal Outlook Everybody is whoopin' and hollerin' about how deathly cold and snow-buried this winter will be (thanks Farmer's Almanac). But current scientific predictions for Dec-Jan-Feb in my area are above average temps and average snowfall.

Today is the last day of the 60's
Maple trees are yellow.... Cold front has blown in ....cold rain and wind. All banana plants have yellow leaves of the fall season showing. Another year on this fantastic forum has passed. Feliz Navidad...... ![]() |

I'm getting teary eyed just reading -
With bunches hanging - 3 Gold finger, 2 caligold, 1 T namwah, 1D namwah and another flag. I'm not close to ready for old man winter - you guys keep the vortex up there... ![]()

I looked at the forecast yesterday and wasn't worried. Lows in the 50's for the coming weekend. Now, this morning, forecasting 40 for a low Saturday night. Not harmful to the bananas, but worrisome for some of my other container plants. Guess it's time to start bringing pots in to protect. I'm so unprepared.

Well slightly warmer than the forecast this morning. Was colder not in town.. I think the plants in S. Ark should be toasted short of a miracle.. It's way to early for frost cloth.. :v)

Well a night of concern for a lil reason. I covered up fruiters just in case but sensor says I still only have a low of 38f.. 10 days no worries according to the forecast unless your on the north side of 8a.. :v)

It got chilly down here near the southern tip of Florida with lows in the upper 40s F and 50s F. Some places had record low temperatures for November 2. I recorded a low of 47 F which is the lowest temperature since February. The low for last winter was 36 F.
