Blake, I think your moonflower is a datura (or devil's trumpet). Moonflowrs are bigger & only open at night.

all that HDR, RAW,etc confused me a bit

but Im trying to do my best with one I have at the moment (HTC Wildfire Cam) and I know nothing about digital editoring

Ante, I think some tone mapping can be done with a single jpeg but for true HDR you really need at least 3 raw files of the same image shot at different exposures, usually 1/3 to 1/2 stop apart from each other. Then they are combined using an HDR program and adjusted and manipulated to taste.

This is an 8 or 10 image panoramic shot taken from from my phone while hiking at our local spot. It's almost 180 degrees angle.

From left to right: Malibu, Santa Monica, Westwood, Century City, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Downtown LA.

To be honest I did some research about all that and that HDR is great stuff so my next thing is getting Photoshop and make some tests

You will know results in next few days I hope.

Awesome Ante, I look forward to seeing your work!

If you don't want to pay for PS try Gimp, it's free and does almost everything PS does. The only thing is when you need a tutorial on how to do something there are way more available for Photoshop than Gimp.

My phone has a panoramic feature that tells you where to move it so the frames line up, then it stitches them together. Then I did a little post processing in Photoshop.

I think it's now just offices but my mom said years ago it used to be a jail.

It a heritage property because of the history but many times it was threatened to be torn down but refused each time. It's downtown, right near the courthouse.
