Talking Don't expect YOUR plants to be shipped like this!

Several months back, I rooted a couple of plants for Dearly Depotted, and have raised them like my own. She has been waiting patiently for them for several weeks now, and I wanted to make this all worth the wait. Plants can be difficult to ship without being tossed around, so I decided to design a package that simply cannot be turned upside down, and have a lot of fun in the process.

Please don't expect a package like this if you ever order something from me, LOL! It took me over three hours to figure this thing out and put it all together, complete with internal reinforcing. Being that this was for a special friend, I took the time to make the labels fit the packaging. It's a one-of-a-kind box for sure!

Here it is ready to pack:

And here it is all packaged up and ready to send. I think this thing could lift off and deliver itself, LOL!

This is what happens when your weekends are 5 days long, and you have waaay too much time on your hands!

Maybe you should patent the design, and present it to plant sellers?

Thanks, LOL! It's clear near the top (it's a Jif peanut butter jar), so you can see in. They'll love it here at the local post office. I've known them all for years, so I would strongly suggest nobody else try this:

Last month, I sent some seeds to JP up in Quebec, and the lady asked the standard questions: "Anything perishable, liquid, flammable..." you know the drill. So I said, and again I will caution everyone NOT to do this unless you know these people VERY well, "Nah, it's just a few ounces of plutonium I'm sending to Bagdad. Is that a problem?"

I guess that would be a factor as well. I do, do a lot of projects for my girlfriend, but I haven't done one like this for her yet. I did tell her about it though, and now she wants pics too.

I did make a special package for JP too, although he and I have only been dating for a year and a half...

Seriously though, while I do refer to Mary sometimes as "Dear," it is in part because of her moniker on here, as well as her being a very dear friend. Nothing more.
