Hey Alex, how do you protect the oleander for the winter? I've been looking for the hardy pink and hardy yellow to try,.

I protect it with some christmas lights, a frost cloth, and a plastic garbage bin. It was unprotected during a night that went down to 20F, and it saw a late snow storm in March. It had no damage and grew quicker than ever this spring! Im not sure if I have a hardy oleander or not, but the hardy ones should be fine as long as its protected below about 15F (just to be safe even though it can probably handle much colder).
I hear the hardy ones dont flower as well as the more tropical ones so definitely look into that before buying one!

Joy Re: What is blooming in your garden today (other plants)?

I love this plant. A freind gave it to me many years ago. It was a small stick about 6 in tall and dying. She said I could bring it back to life. I knew it was a china doll but was a young gardener way back than I planted it in the ground and babied it. Now I have to say its my favorite plant in the garden. I love it. Than one year it had flowers all over it. Now its starting its show again. Here is a link on the plant.

A Washingtonia seedling,

Loads of my own sown calendula orange flowers.

A 70cm weed , leaving it to see if it flowers, also how tall it will be finally.

Loads of Dahlias, red, and yellows, with some orange.

Baskets are over flowing (5) with fuchia Delta Sarah, a red and white one, Calendulas.

In tubs, Tiny white flowers that flow down, Petunia, Dianthus, and baby Begonias.

Thats just in the back garden.
