It means so much Bob...

especially coming from the ARMPIT of America!!!

Isn't this what they call Jersey?! :ha:

Yeah, we know how often you post shots though...about once every six months!

Thought I'd wait until after the holiday Monday to mail her to ya Bob...

If you're lucky, that is...and also if Howard doesn't make me a offer I can't refuse!

Guess we'll have to see...

You had better look after it, Bob:ha:.....otherwise i can see Sherry hoping on a plane:02::parachutenanner:, and showing up at your house, with shovel in hand.......waving at you through your window, as she's holding the shrub........saying....See ya :ha::ha::ha::ha::0519:

Re: Thank you Hollyberrylady!!!!

Penny's right Bob...

and the shovel wouldn't just be for digging up the Hollyberry bush either, it'd also be used to bop you over the head with too!!! :ha:

That's what you'd get for neglecting my Holly!

Some of those fruits looked like they were turning red slightly in your last shot Bob...any recent pics?

Or will we have to wait until Christmas? :0521:

Did I tell you that Howard and Penny both made me offers on your shrub, Bob? Penny actually suggested splitting it down the middle and giving one half to Howard and the other half to her...

I'm considering it!

How much did you offer again, Penny? :ha:

Re: Thank you Hollyberrylady!!!!

This shot shows Hollyberry seeds...

There's always four seeds in one Hollyberry, and they need a cold stratification period of one year before they'll pop.

Re: Thank you Hollyberrylady!!!!

So how are your "Black Velvet Rose" hybrid Geraniums doing, Bob?

Here's a shot I took of one of mine this morning...

Thought since we each grew them from my seeds, this would be a good place to show shots of them too. Love to see yours also...

Gonna mail your Hollyberry shrub on Monday or Tuesday of next week, so you get it by Friday. It's nearly completely ripened now and although this shot came out kind of blurry, here it was this morning...

This is what we've been waiting for...red ripe berries. I can't wait to send her to you...

But I'll admit it was my fault....hows that? Really they are doing very well but not a chance I'm showing mine till they look as good as yours........

Re: Thank you Hollyberrylady!!!!

Which will be never Bob...so I guess we won't be seeing them! :ha:

You really fleeced me good today, didn't you, oh gardening pal of mine?!

I just got bilked by the post office for a ridiculous amount of money to send off your Princess via

You'll get it by Thursday guaranteed! ;)

Here's a recent shot I took of it...

Of course I sent you many more goodies to go with your shrub. Let me know on Thursday that you got it ok...

Re: Thank you Hollyberrylady!!!!

After an eternity of waiting it's finally here!!

Sure ... after hearing for the past several months that I was going to get yet another and even more beautiful " Blue Princess" Holly from the Hollyberry Lady it finally came just today:woohoonaner: I have to say just as told that it is in fact much better looking in person and I just love it to death.... It will go in the ground tomorrow but , for tonight I think I'll just sit and gaze at it for a while..likely with a small touch of the Scottish holy water as a garden blessing for luck:

in addition there were a dwarf salmon colored canna, 3 Amethyst beautyberry plants started just for me and in addition a rooted cutting with some berries on it!:

also a dwarf pink hydrangea and a " Caerulea" passiflora that She's been growing from a cutting for me for the better part of a year!

I'll post some shots of this and the "Blue Boy" Holly in their spots in the ground tomorrow... but for now I'm just going to enjoy this for a while.

I officially take back everything( ok most) of the things I've said about you publicly here as of now!!!:ha::ha:

Seriously , Sherry I'm too thrilled to say . The Holly will be in the ground tomorrow and the rest will spend the winter in the heated porch/ greenhouse before getting planted outdoors in spring..

Thanks!

Re: Thank you Hollyberrylady!!!!

WoW Bob...it really looks terrific for you! :goteam:

It sure pays to mail Express Post in some cases...and this was one of them. I love it that it got there in four days!

Quit making wisecracks about how long it took to send it. :ha:

You know perfectly well that I was waiting for the berries to fully ripen and didn't want to interrupt the process. It took longer than I anticpated. You knew it would be yours though and that I always pull through....unlike some people!

So glad you are happy about my belated birthday presents and hope you enjoy them to the fullest, Bob.

I think my gift shows what I really must think of ya, even though I like to tease and be a smartass sometimes. No one else would ever get something like this out of me...and you know it!

Enjoy!

Re: Thank you Hollyberrylady!!!!

Well, the Blue Princess is in the ground.

the Blueboy is doing well also and is now rooted in reasonably well as fall is great for evergreens to do this here.

I'll be removing some bananas from nearby them soon and they'll be getting even more sun. Next year I'll just plant so they don't get as much shade as they've been getting now.

The other plants are potted up and will be coming indoors tonight. Not the best picture with the bananas in the background but , you get the idea.

Thanks again Sherry!:woohoonaner:

Everything looks just fantastic, Bob! Thanks so much for showing all your stuff I sent ya.

No doubt, you'll be enjoying both those Hollyberry shrubs all Fall & Winter long...

Beautifull Hollyberry, it's looking great. I'd go take a shot of mine but the wind today would take me away:ha:

Re: Thank you Hollyberrylady!!!!

Soon we'll be showing our Holly shrubs with snow underneath of them Bob, when they look their most ornamental! :)

Took this shot today so you could see my "Blue Girl". She's a very young shrub but she's actually put on lots of growth for me this season...

It'll be nice to see your two again soon also Bob. I know you said they are doing very well for you. :08:

Don't forget to keep fertilizing until the end of November...

Bob 11-07-2010 08:05 AM

Re: Thank you Hollyberrylady!!!!

They're doing great Sherry and I'll get some pics of them this afternoon. I'll give them what will likely be their last fertilizing for the season today too....we've been getting on and off frosts the past few days but doubt I'll get a real freeze here till the end of the month or early Dec.. It's not too late to fertilize today right?

The Hollyberry Lady 11-07-2010 08:08 AM

Re: Thank you Hollyberrylady!!!!

Good Morning, Bob! :waving:

Nope, it's still cool to fertilize them today...I feed mine until the end of November.

Can't wait to see your shots...
