They look very much like AeAe huh? Well, I read that they don't do too well in very hot and dry climate, so try to put it in a shady spot so it doesn't burn or wilt easily.
I saw one on eBay.... |

I have it also. Nice looking plant but the white does burn easily. The flowers are not much to look at.

I hve one..I love it...its leaves remind me of a smaller leaved variegated heliconia...I leave it in the ground year round...its growing in morning sun with afternoon shade...doesnt bloom well there...but I grow it for the foliage.

We have a partially shaded area that stays somewhat damp in the summer as we have to run the sprinkler often to keep the grass from dying so I'm hoping it will do OK here.

I only have 3 they are several years old & do not send out a lot of new growth every year for me but they grow big & tall, I will trade but only for select banan's I do not have, send me a PM if you have some you want to offer, I have most all the common ones, Basjoo, siam ruby, cardoba, helen's hybrid, dwarf cavedish, orinocos, ice cream, velutina's, chinese lotus etc, easy to just send list...lol

I just ordered one off ebay. I have tryied this canna 3 or 4 times. And can you believe a friend of mine grows it outside next to the foundation of his house in zone 6 and they come back every year? And it seems I cannot keep one alive even taking it inside for the winter. I am not giving up, not by a long shot. I am too stubborn.
