Default Rice Paper Plant

Anyone know a source for rice paper plant (Tetrapanax papyrifera). Got some seed on eBay and had
0 percent germination. Checked Plant Delights Nursery on the web and they are sold out. One source indicated that this plant is notoriously difficult to grow from seed, but once established, it grows like a weed. Local nurseries just don't carry this type of plant. Anyone know of a source??

I had one bought from PDN last year. It was one of my only PDN failures, sorry to say. This year I got one in a plant swap, and it's doing great. Cistus Nursery had them, but don't list it now. Good luck.

Thanks! For a plant that supposedly spreads and grows rampantly, it's awfully hard to find!!!

I've bought from Brian's Botanicals and have only had positive experiences. Go for it!

Thanks for the lead. Tried that site but none available. I know there's someone out there, with a yardful of rice paper plant, who's thinking,"Jeez, there must be someone who would buy some of this stuff!" . LOL

Boy, are you right about those seeds! I planted two trays, used bottom heat, the whole bit, and got '0'% germination. I'll check out eBay. Thanks!!
