Hi,
I currently grow nearly 20 diffrent kinds of Curcumas. From 1 foot tall to almost 6 feet tall..Mine start blooming from early spring to end of the fall season here except it is still summer weather here..I don't have too much freezing weather except at nitetime for about 6 to 9 hours..
here is part of a list that I grow here..have to find my disk w ginger pics in it..
Curcuma
Longa-Olena-cooking ginger
Amethyst
Figi
Panama Purple
Purple Gusher
Purple Prince
Raspberry Plume
Scarlet Fever
Sullee Rainbow
Rainbow
Flaviflora-Red Fireball
elata-Giant Plume
Petiolata-'Emperor'- variegated leaves
Band of Gold
Anybody grow Hedychiums or Alpinias???...LOL...
I can trade other names gingers with others after the gingers goes dormant..easier on the shipping dept.

Pinecone Shampoo gingers- You can use those cones to wash your hair and use on your body!! Just cut the cones and put in freezer bags to save to use..When I take them out to use, defrost the cone, and I have a tiny hole mesh bag to put them in so I dont get any debris in my hair that comes out of the cones. Sometime little bugs hide in the creases of the cones..hope nobody freaks out when that happens..just part of nature..lol

Now this is a nice collection and hope you are able to find the pics!!! Would love to see them!!! Not sure if I have anything that would interest you, but would love to do some trading with you!!! If and when you have time, please pm me and lets discuss this!!! I need to do a little more research on the ones you have to see which ones would do well in my more "arctic" conditions!!!

My "Aussie Plume" curcuma is blooming. It has bloomed twice for me so far. None of my others have done anything yet.

No blooms currently on any of these.
Heliconia flavum and Heliconia coccineum a hybrid "Dr. Moy" pretty upright variegated plant though.
Heliconia psittacorum "Golden Torch" this one bloomed twice but I didn't get pictures.

Heliconia Rostata "Lobster Claw" no blooms.

I have a little delicate yellow flower globba schomburgkii- very sensitive - doesn't like heat, doesn't like cold - but her babies are coming in stronger than she is.

I have a few others, but I am still sipping coffee and waking up - and realized I am rambling - Sorry! ~JaNan

Randy, these pics were taken a couple weeks ago.

I don't think the dancing lady is considered a curcuma, but here she is anyway.

And, here is my spiral ginger finally starting to grow.
