first pic is my original, without the front or roof on, loaded with plants, including SDC and D. Jam red. It is 8x8x8 with polycarbonate panels and wood frame. In the 9-10mo I dont need it, it disassembles for storage and the frame becomes a swng arbor.
![]() w/doors, roof, and hanging cacti added, next to the veg garden. ![]() the new greenhouse, I'm attempting to grow mango and cherimoya as espalier trees. The GH is 6-4-8, polycarbonate with wood. The roof and back panels are hinged for ventilation. Inside this one is my Valencia Pride mango (in ground), white sapote, and naranjilla seedlings(potted). The other GH, not shown, houses my Fino cherimoya (in ground) plus pepino dulce and passionfruit (potted). ![]() hope you enjoyed, -Ethan |

Very nice Ethan! Where do you live that you need a GH? Maybe you could update your profile to include your location and zone.

Ethan:
Very nice setup. I've pass by Bakersfield many times on the way to Yucca Valley ( I have a rental there) and you are South of me I was wondering why do you need a polycarbonate sidings. When I build my "greenhouse" All I will be installing is the roof. And I will just install a 6mill clear plastics during winter on temporary basis when the tempt dips down below 30. As I understand it as long as there are no frost on the canopy your bananas and citrus are safe. But I don't know the cherimoya. Mine already crisp the buds but the matured leaves are still not affected.

Benny, though S of you, we still get cold, last winter mid 20's. There is a gentleman here that lost his cherimoyas and a gentleman in Visalia that lost his mangos. I dont know the particulars of how they protected them, if at all. I just want to be ready. So far my inground bananas have cripsy leaves, citrus ok, though frost is expected this weekend.
Mskitty roundtrip airfare, cost of materials, plus cold "beverages", the sunroom sounds like a bargain. -Ethan |

1. sweet tea 2. corona 3. corona w/ lime 4. pom and cranberry juice 5. margaritaville if i had the money and the materials i say come on over, but i dont so im in limbo. and no and the price of everything it would be better for the sunroom.![]()
