I was looking at them for my mom, she wants elephant ears in her front yard and I thought maybe I could surprise her with these. I first need to look at hardiness....off to davesgarden!

I started some from seed from the Colocasia 'Thai Giant' form. They are finally getting enough size to plant in the garden now. Can't wait to see what they look like in a few months!

I thought of ordering, but I've tried the gigantea twice and it just doesn't like me. :-(

I don't know if it's the specif variety, but twice I've purchased plants, and they ended up shriveling away while the rest of my EE's do well. I decided next time to do Jack's Giant, or the Alocasia odorata.
