i removed a root in the spring and the tree responded fairly well to it so when the soil washed away and revealed another big girdling root i decided to film the process (or at least a before and after)

Are wrap-around roots a habit of this species?

I took a page from your book and took a myer lemon and did a bonsai trim.
The plant went from a 12 gal to a 3gal container ..I did trim the girdle root and teased the roots for a over the rock grow. Roots are stretching slowly but nicely. Thx for the push... The plant is a third year grow....4-6 should be pretty good for final shape. Your plant looks awesome!!! Last edited by cincinnana : 12-29-2020 at 07:35 AM. |
