Dragonfruit cuttings question..
Hello, friends! I purchased an Dragon fruit cutting of the 'American Beauty' variety a year ago.. I put it in a large pot with soil and pieces of wood in the middle as a growing support. The cuttings have grown a lot in only a year - basically they went from a 6-8 inch cutting to like a 4-6 foot vine.. If anyone has any experience with this kind of plant, I wanted to know how much longer it would be until it could fruit ? I got the cuttings from a mature plant.. I plan to fertilize and water with seaweed fertilizer once spring comes but I heard something like a Dragon fruit vine has to attain 10lbs of growth and weight before it can start producing flowers for fruit.. I'm in zone 7 so I have the pot in a south facing window where it gets direct sunlight for a few hours when we have full sun outside - then I put it outside in Spring once it warms up to like 60 degrees F - Any tips or advice?.. thanks for reading & for your help!

Re: Dragonfruit cuttings question..
Its SUPER crazy hard to get them to fruit....
No, not really. If you have a nice mature plant all you have to do is let the plant hang down off of its support once it reach the top. The tips of the "branch" will stop putting energy into growth and start flower production.

Re: Dragonfruit cuttings question..
Prune off all the side branches as it makes it way to the top of the pole, then let it have it's way. Make sure your pot is large and solid, my vines weigh over 100kg's each, but are planted in the ground.
