I think the test is a great idea, so it has merit, or accreditation in order to receive it. I am sure that the longer one reads this forum, we will have more banana knowledge than 99% of the general population anyway. So in a way, we are all becoming experts.
Perhaps you could even add sub-categories for experts such as: Taxonomy/Identification, Germination, Micropropagation, Fertilizing, Pathogens/Diseases, Asian varieties, etc. so that members could search for specifics from the experts most knowledgeable in each category?
