I asked Fernie if I could "bump" this thread but he said no. I'm glad you did it instead of me!
At the least, he deserves a "Bad Business Practices" infraction. Sorry, Jason. |

Yeah, I didn't ask Fernie...I just asked if anything was ever received. He said--No, me neither. We split a liner of siam ruby's me and Jason...well I bought them, potted them up in 4" pots of promix hp and grew them out for a month in the basement under grow lights, let him take his when they were well rooted, and he repaid me by "splitting" right out of town with out paying for his...lol....he just left me bad feedback on our "trade" too, I guess he thought the price was too high...lol...I guess if anyone wants to check on my credentials as a trader they'll just have to check with the other 20 people who have been happy with their plants.

Does Jason have anything to publicly say about this? I don't think he should be able to post any more classifieds until this is cleared up.

If I had a Snow Banana I would send it to you...sounds like a couple of other members made it up to you. The good news this is a rare and infrequent occurrence (on this site)...
![]() Back in the day when I had more time I shipped some corms to members of another garden site that offered to "reimburse postage"....and got stiffed not once; but twice......apparently the offer of cleaning, shipping and mailing corms was insufficient and they also wanted me to pay the shipping costs as well..lol.... |

I saw last night he was on the chat too. He did post on there last night. But he wouldn't answer my questions or respond to me when I got on there, he quit posting. The thing is if he'd just make good on his things he has outstanding, communicate, and show people he wanted to do the right thing, people would probably chill out and eventually let him back in. If it was just a matter of not having the money or something like that people would understand, if it was explained and made up for. I trusted him as a friend, too. He lived right here in town and would hang out here sometimes. That's another reason why I feel so backstabbed by all this. It's one thing to rip off someone you barely know, that doesn't take nearly as much of a cold heart as to rip off someone you pretend to be friends with on a pretty regular basis. I'm done with this for now though....I do wish they could completely ban him so that no one else would get ripped off though.

I believe this about the gentleman named Jason, and JPFloors is someone else totally. That is what was confusing to me when you linked the thread above... I, too, saw Jason in the chat and spoke with him briefly and he was responsive to me. When I told him to pm me to discuss the situation in private, he disappeared. That was about the same time Sandy came into the chat room, so I am not sure if that was the reason, or what I said. I have yet heard anymore from him... Jason, if you read this, feel free to contact me and we can try and make everything right and you can begin building trusting relationships with others on this great forum!!! I believe you could make this right with everyone and so we can all go on and enjoy our common love of bananas.

I see Jason deleted the photo of his back yard and deck. Maybe he thought someone might recognize his place.

Are you sure jason is banned? He's been listing auctions in the classifieds and I saw him in the chatroom last night.

Brugmansia are large shrubs or small trees, reaching heights of 3–11 m, with tan, slightly rough bark. The leaves are alternate, generally large, 10–30 cm long and 4–18 cm broad, with an entire or coarsely toothed margin, and are covered with fine hairs. The name Angel's Trumpet refers to the large, very dramatic, pendulous trumpet-shaped flowers, 14–50 cm to 20 inches long and 10–35 cm across at the wide end. They are white, yellow, pink, orange or red, and have a delicate, attractive scent with light, lemony overtones, most noticeable in early evening. Flowers may be single or double. All parts of Brugmansia plants contain dangerous levels of poison and may be fatal if ingested by humans or animals, including livestock and pets. Contact with the eyes can cause pupil diliation (mydriasis) or unequal pupil size (anisocoria). Some municipalities prohibit the purchase, sale, or cultivation of Brugmansia plants. Brugmansia are easily grown in a moist, fertile, well-drained soil, in full sun to part shade, in frost-free climates. They begin to flower in mid to late spring in warm climates and continue into the fall, often continuing as late as early winter in warm conditions. In cool winters, outdoor plants need protection, but the roots are hardy and will resprout in April or May. The species from the higher elevations, B. sanguinea and B. vulcanicola, prefer moderate temperatures and cool nights, and may not flower if temperatures are very hot. Most Brugmansias may be propagated easily by rooting 10–20 cm cuttings taken from the end of a branch during the summer. sorry to have recked this thread but he asked!
