Termites in soil
Hey guys was planting some stuff today and grabbed a pot from last year and the old dirt in the pot is full of termites. Should I call the bug people ASAP to check my house or have others seen this before and not worried. Thanks

Re: Termites in soil
Have them come out and assess your situation its usually free.
I have them in the yard also, as close as 10 feet to the house. I keep them at bay with a foundation pesticide barrier and bait stakes. Now that you know they are there you have to be vigilant. If you are a do it yourself kind of guy....you can purchase the supplies from your Terminix supplier or other pest control agent. Terminix® Nags Head, NC Pest Control | 1-855-484-8944 There is great detailed information on Youtube. |

Re: Termites in soil
Make sure they are termites and not ants. Some times it is hard for the untrained eye to tell the difference. Termites can't stand light or fresh air. I imagine they moved somewhere else by now. It is not likely termites would be in a pot.
