Hi, I planted 36 seeds last July of several species. Only five germinated, but I was tidying up my balcony today and discovered one more has germinated in the propagator! It's a Musa balbisiana (Thai black), it's only got two leaves so far.
I've repotted it into a larger pot (it was in a peat seed container), and I desperately want this one to survive. What's my best option for caring for it now? I'm in the SW of England, so it's not too warm yet - maybe 13 ℃ when it's sunny. I know my main thing is not to overwater it - I've killed so many of my banana plants through overwatering :-/. Does it need food yet? |

6 out of 36 banana seeds seems pretty darn good from my limited experience. Where did you get the seed?
