I recently separated my 18inch Dwarf Orinoco pup from its 5foot mother but i accidently cut the pup to close and didnt get much if any of the mother plants root system-what shall i do to help in the survival of it...should i give it xtra food-keep it moist or on the dry side...any help will be appreiciated!!!

If you have some parts of the original corm (meristem - the white tissue?) on the pup, it will shoot some roots in normal soil and as marenmar showed maybe a year ago, it will shoot even in the water, if kept at least at room temperature.
Don't overwater it though, so that it doesn't rot! Good luck. ![]()

I would pot it up and treat it like you normally would. It will just take a litle bit longer to recover. You will know fairly soon if it will make it.

if you don't have any white part on the bottom, you won't get any roots--and it's a goner. The good part is that the original corm will shoot another pup right out of the same place where that one broke off, because the tissue that wants to grow into a pup is still there.
