Transplanted my Truly Tiny Musa, and it started to wilt from possibly over watering. Then replaced the soil with better drier soil, and still no improvement. I instinctively knew something was wrong when I spotted a rotten piece in the giant corm (I've had this banana for almost a decade, it's pretty got a big bottom if you know what I mean). Dug it out again and started carving away the rotten pieces only to discover a chamber of secrets inside the corm that housed 3 or 4 millipedes. How dare they try to James and the Giant Peach my banana plant! I flushed those jerks down the toilet and started carving away the rotten parts. What do I do with the rest of the pathetic leaves to try to save my beloved banana? Should I cut off the leaves so it can focus on growing roots again? I've never butchered a banana plant like this so it's kind of freaking me out. If anyone has any advice on where to go from here would be much appreciated.
Things I've done to be super specific: -Stopped watering the bananas altogether. -Dipped the corm in some rooting hormone I've bought at Home depot. -Spray two or three times a day with a misting bottle. -Have the banana facing a southern window. -Play the banana "plant music" for about an hour a day. -Put the butchered corm back into the dirt without any extra water or any extra moisture. https://ibb.co/QQN6qcd https://ibb.co/3kBpQ5V https://ibb.co/bmTTpfH https://ibb.co/ZS6XWqF Also having trouble posting images/links Last edited by BananaN00b : 03-20-2020 at 08:34 PM. That's about all you can do until there is some signs of new growth.
