Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc. |

![]() Is the seed float test a good measurement of viability in banana seeds? I heard that if you soak seeds for 15 minutes in water and they are still floating they wont germinate. Thanks!

![]() I've almost given up with seeds and just buy from others with more success or larger quantities of seed to perhaps sell as a business, although....two weeks bought a packet just to 'scratch that itch' .New plan though in my propergator I also have two types of tomatoes, basil etc just to be able to watch something grow!!!
