Just for grins, here's a neat fig ice cream recipe. T&T--this fig hater actually found it yummy.

Yield: 1 1/2 to 2 quarts
3 c. peeled mashed figs
1 T. lemon juice
1 c. minus 2 T. sugar (divided)
1 egg, beaten
1 c. whole milk
1 c. heavy whipping cream, whipped slightly

In bowl, combine figs, lemon juice and 1/2 cup sugar. Let stand until sugar is dissolved.

In another bowl, add remaining sugar to egg and heat slowly and continuously while adding milk until thick and creamy. Combine fig mixture with milk mixture and fold in the slightly whipped cream. Freeze in ice cream freezer according to manufacturer's instructions.

Note: I used 1/2 & 1/2 so was not as creamy. And I used white figs I'd frozen in the summer.

Baked this cake today. Delicious and aromatic! Only thing I did not take dried figs but berries from the jam. It prepares quickly, which is very valuable for me. Thanks for the wonderful recipe! As for photography, it’s not that bad. But it can hardly be called appetizing either. I can advise the coffee photography. There is quite a lot of basic information that will allow you to take good pictures. By the way, I added a little cognac to the cake - it turns out much tastier this way. Coffee liqueur or rum will also work well.
