Sabal Minor "Cape Hatteras Giant" cold hardy Palm seeds
Hello everyone. I have plenty of Sabal Minor "Cape Hatteras Giant" seeds available. For those of you that may be unfamiliar, the Sabal Minor (Dwarf Palmetto) is a rock solid cold hardy palm and has been known to take subzero temperatures and show no damage. The "Cape Hatteras Giant" is a unique ecotype of Sabal Minor found at the northernmost of their native range in North Carolina, almost as far north as Virginia. The "Cape Hatteras Giant" is popular amongst colllectors and enthusiast because of its rarity and the traits that this specific plant has. It is super cold hardy once established, it is known for the bluest coloring of the Sabal Minors, and it is the largest growing Sabal Minor. 5 feet tall is large for a standard Sabal minor but I have seen many of the Cape Hatteras variety between 7-10 feet tall. These prices include shipping and tracking within the US. I can ship outside the US for whatever the additional cost would be.
If anyone has any questions or would like to purchase any I accept paypal and you can contact me by PM or email me at pier_man0909@yahoo.com 20 seeds for $7.99 50 seeds for $12.99 100 seeds for $19.99 500 seeds for $44.99 1,000 seeds for $74.99 I am also offering a small flat rate box stuffed with seeds for $99. I dont know exactly how many will be in it but a good guess would be between 2,000-2,500. I will also have seedlings that will vary in size for sale. They range in age from 1 year old to approximately 5 years old and will go for between $2-25 each plus shipping depending on the size. I am also open to the possibility of trades sabalminor.jpg sabalminor2.jpg 2012-11-22_13-41-29_656.jpg sabal minor seedling2.jpg Last edited by pier_man0909 : 11-18-2013 at 07:03 PM. |

Re: Sabal Minor "Cape Hatteras Giant" cold hardy Palm seeds
This is the "other plants for sale forum" try "Banana plants for sale and auction" forum, for banana related stuff, there is a place where you can post your wants on the "banana plants wanted" forum. Sometimes there are banana seeds here, but look up "seed sources" in the search and you'll get a good amount of hits.

No I do not. My musa velutina have not ripened yet and I don't know if I even will sell any of those. "Flaflowerfloozie" should have those if you want those. They are an excellent choice.

If you don't have them, there a great addition to a collection. I understand the heart of the tree is edible and people pay good money for heart of palm. It is yummy...

Because Rocky was and still is so little John decided it was best to make a pee pole for him a 4X4 in the dirt with a large screen area around it on top of the sand with some chunky wood chips...he took to it fine and it was far safer then Rocky and I in the rattlesnakes with a stick. If it got to loud per se', we just moved the pole to a drier area. I had forgotten all about that till you mentioned it Kubali!

Pretty darn slow like other sabals. On another note, I still have had zero germ from this batch.
