Williams banana in bloom.
2 Attachment(s)
Finally, I would be able to earn my degree as a banana grower in Zone 9, California. My Williams banana is potted and the pot burried in the ground. It has survived the last winter on the west side wall of the house, the trunks remained solid and green but the leaves fried out, and it has bloomed during the late spring this year. I think the fruits will have enough time to mature and ripen come fall season. This is truly one cold hardy Williams.
I have more bananas here: http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/Albu...&a=31003364&f= |
Alright! Those are awesome!
... as a side note, I just made an announcement about our new photo gallery. You are more than welcome to create a photo gallery here if you would like. The link to the gallery is at the top of this page, and some more info about it is here. ..anyway, great photos of your Williams. Good luck with your fruit! I know you'll keep us posted! I have a Williams but it's just a puppy at the moment. |
Thanks will do that soon. My problem is internal, I have to wade through and select pictures then size them up for upload, so that may take some time before I can organize an album here.

That sounds great
btw, the software this site uses sizes them up for you. It creates two or even three different sizes as needed, depending on the side of yours, all automaticly. Saves lots of time. Don't despair! |
