What are these?

I uncovered my musa basjoo plant yesterday and there was seven corms. I divided them, but later noticed several clumps of these growing nearby. Do they have anything to do with the banana plant? |

That's what they look like to me also. We have bamboo, but no where near the banana plant. The bamboo we have is a running type, whatever these are, are in a clump.

They were not there last year. The only thing that I could think of that it is right outside of our greenhouse and we often throw old soil in this area and that there was some kind of plant in that old soil.
