I was hoping it was a bud/flower! I was told when I got the plants that they were non-fruit bearing. So I’m really excited. The plant is 8-9 ft tall. I’ll try to post a pic of the plants. Unfortunately it’s the big one in the back corner. This plant is part of the group I was given, which are the first banana plants I have ever grown.

Its definitely flowering, but the info you originally got is correct in that it is the wild species Musa basjoo, which will not produce edible fruit. But, its still fun to watch it grow and flower, so enjoy.

Bananas Brindando Re: Is this what I think it is????

This picture was taken last night. Although they are small, I have counted over 30 banana's. That's not counting the ones under the leaves that just opened, those little guys are tiny. Any insight or guidance would be much appreciated.
