Usually thats because the file is too large. Or if you're on Facebook you can post to my friend John's group The Musa Muse

Weird. It says 5200K file size limit on the upload page (or 16 mb for zip files), but I just checked a photo I tried to upload (unsuccessfully) and it is only 4.48 mb. It is just a .jpg; took the photos with my cell phone.
My facebook has been deactivated for over a year now am trying to stay off of it. That is a cool name for a banana group though.

I had the same problem when I joined last week... iPhone pics are too large even though they show within the stated size range. Just reduce the size of the picture and it'll work fine. Many ways to do it, but I just email them to myself with Apple Mail and set it to reduce them to "large" size which drops it from 5mb to 700kb with little noticeable drop in resolution.

Hope that helps!

you got what you paid for, they were cheap and if they are cheap they are not Blue Java.

I got a Dwarf Namwa from them last year with fruit now so out of 2 banana plants I ordered from them 1 is confirmed true to type so far. now for the crappy florida hill nursery its like 0 confirmed correct so far out of 6.

That is open to interpretation. I paid 23 bucks for a 2" tall TC (10 of them)that was supposed to be blue java, Instead, I got a 2" tall namwah, that they themselves sell for $10.00. So I paid 13 bucks more for every namwah they sold me as blue java. That to me, is NOT a "get what you paid for deal", but if i was worried about getting screwed out of $130 bucks, I wouldn't grow bananas at home, i would buy them at the store. To me, its the principle of selling an item you KNOW is not true to form.

So I resized my photos to 4mp with the Windows photo app. Banana #1 has the most photos, and they are from when it flowered+made 4 tiny bananas. It wasn't an 'ideal' situation I'm sure if I took better care of it it would have made more. Bananas 2+3 I *think* are the same species, but I think they are different from #1. They ALL came from Wellspring sold as ice cream/blue java, but I bought them at different times. Would appreciate getting multiple opinions of what species I've *actually* got.:2738: Also these banana-themed emoticons are great fun!

Thats sucks you paid so much and what the hell you need 10 of them for?
contact wellspring and voice the concern with them, they have some customer service (i recall getting a replacement on a passion vine that came damaged). Maybe a refund for the difference in namwa vs. blue java prices at the time?

I bought 10 because I wanted to start a large stand in an area I terraced into a slope in my yard. I did not want to wait a few seasons to fill the area by propagating pups from one or 2 plants. At the time I had a neighbor growing "blue java" and he raved about how good they were and how well they grew. I now know that he also has Namwah, and not a true blue java. Truthfully I'm happy that I have namwah, just not crazy about how much they charged me for them. The real blue Java that I got from Akula, has some obvious differences from the namwah, and is also the only plant that blew over in the last hurricane. I heard they tend to lean and fall over without propping, and seems its true. All my namwah and others stayed upright, though they lost most of their leaves.
