Default Veinte Cohol Organic Fertilizer

I'm new to this very cool site and I have a couple of questions: I'm growing Veinte Cohol bananas and want to get max production from them so we can harvest in October. Our farm is in central Georgia.

What is a good organic fertilizer that I can use to get them going (guessing I need high potassium) ?

What is the best way to separate the corms in the fall to produce more plants for the following season?

Thank you!

Scott

20% Off Coupon Unique 01

17 Lb. Posthole Digging Bar with Tamper

This is what I use to separate my pups. Bought mine at Harbor freight. Have included a 20% off coupon code in my link.
Abnshrek: How far up from the bottom is your food peg? That is a great advice and I might bring my bar to a welder to get that done.

Organic fertilizer: compost, chicken manure, horse manure, fish emulsion for N
Sul-Po-Mag for K. Azomite for micronutrients.

In addition to manures, you can use an organic citrus fertilizer for bananas. Espoma and Bradford Organics makes good ones. I have also used Bradfords Luscious Lawn Corn Gluten meal-> 9-0-0 for a big hit of nitrogen, to get them started at the beginning of the growing season, along with a potassium rich fertilizer (Sul-Po-Mg or Peggy Green Grass Minerals-> 0-0-12).

Sntyson, a good source for the Bradford Organics is a Farm/Animal Feed store. If you're close to a rural or suburban area, you should be able to locate one. When buying organic materials, you get much better value for the money, buying in a larger quantity from the farm/feed store.

The below link, provides a breakdown on organic fertilizers.
